Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You.....................................................................Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You-Thank You
If you're purchasing a book from Amazon, now or in the future, by clicking thru SHnPGIE, we will get a small commission which will help maintain n perhaps allow us to cover additional helicoptering events, thus giving YOU more good stuff to read n fotos to dream on.
THANK YOU

As most of you know, sound files are even bigger than foto files. This being the case, I suggest AFTER finishing reading this short paragraph you double click on the little helicopter below. After the double click, your computer will contact my computer. If  it's like mine, a window will first pop up asking you to save or open the file. I suggest you choose open (feel free to save later if you want). After making ether choice, your computer may show you a loading status window. I suggest you take your mouse pointer n click the on page any place other than the loading status window. This should minimize the window and allow you to read the text n view the fotos, thus occupying your time as you wait for the sound file to load. Once the sound file is finished loading a sound player window should pop up.......

This segment was recorder around 9am on the Saturday in November of 1998 when I visited the HeliSport's new maintenance facility near Asti. Asti is the main town in the region where the grapes for the wine of  the similar name is grown. To me, this region of Italy is one of my favorites. This area is full of hills n valleys packed with charming clean towns n villages. I can just imagine how nice it would be to burning a tank of fuel in a Kompress on a lovely fall day as you enjoy the fall colors with a good friend as you cruise the valleys of this lovely area.
Back to this sound segment. I had just arrived in time to learn this was the second student Mr. Barbero had that day by around 09:30. I was disappointed to learn I missed the first student pilot that day, Luciana, the lovely student pilot that is married to Angelo Crapanzano. Angelo n Lucinan presently own both a Angel n Kompress. However, the last I knew, the Kompress is still being assembled.
In my opinion, the sounds captured from this video segment are perhaps only 20% of reality. Event hoe the sound are taken from the same portion of tape as the fotos posted on this page are taken from, Cing n hearing the video is much better. But for those who have not purchased the a copy of the Kompress tape I made that day, naturally something is better than nothing. However, the Kompress has a wonderful combination of sounds that can only be fully appreciated in person..
I have noticed both my eyes n ears perk up the most for the sound of a piston powered helicopter or air plane. Lots of guys seem to be nuts about turbines n the sound, personally I am happily stuck in the past, I love the purr of  th piston.
