Hello SHnPGIE readers,
I finally took some pictures of my Brantly today to share with SHnPGIE.
My ship is a 1962 Brantly B2B model N8101T, SN190. It has 1860 hours
TT and flies like a dream.
Since I have only rode in one other helicopter, a Robinson R22, I
don't have a large base to compare it to, but I will say it is much smoother
and has much more interior room than the R22.
I'm in the process of obtaining insurance on it right now so that I may
start my training. The ship is ready to go other than avionics in
which I intend to install a Apollo SL40 Comm/intercom along with a SL70
Transponder.
I will keep you posted with the progress. Overall, the Brantly seems
very straight forward with an all gear driven drivetrain.
The only belts used are for the two cooling fans and the generator.
It is very stout and well built and for a 38-year-old it is in excellent
condition.
I sent a few pictures for you to pick and choose as you wish. Let
me know if you need any more information.
Regards
Todd Sanderson
