I have no idea who came up with this yearbook
plan - we were in warzone c and our AO consisted of all of warzone c and
d - both freefire zones, 6 clicks from Cambodia on three sides all this
only 6000 meters from the Ho Chi Minh trail and we're taking pictures!
Lots of barnstorming, no air laws......... In between trees (blades
over) in between trees..........
sideways............. under bridges............ played chicken (and
won) with cars on Highway One.
We picked up tiger grass with our rotor blades in the smoke ship.
Phenomenal (and nutty) flying but we were indestructible and nineteen......................................

The Rat Pack, call sign for our all Cobra gun ship platoon, these guys
were great...completely fearless and led by a CPT Wages. "Rat Pack Six"
these tireless flyers protected and escorted
our slicks (UH-1H) Hueys nine at a time and softened up our landing
zones during an insertion.
