If you look closely over the door near the old "Lizzy", you can just make out the words
By chance, I ran across the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos CA, at there A/P which is just south of SFO a few miles along Rt 101. If you are ever in the area, pop in, they have a nice helicopter section.
I took 4o or so fotos during my visit, so I will try n put together
a page for each helicopter I photographed during my down time in Hawaii
during the next few weeks.

The museum had a number of video monitors near some of the craft. They actually had some nice color footage of the XH44 in flight.

I was a tad dissappointed Cing the canvas covering the swash plates on both rotor heads, nonetheless, it was a treat Cing this vintage helicopter that I actually had no idea existed until I walked in the door n around the corner.

Looking at the power plant here in this foto makes me wonder how it was cooled.
The Hiller Museum has a 5,ooo square foot restoration shop that was chock full. Off in one corner I could make out one rotor wing craft, but I could not C enough of it to recognize what it could be.
