As an engineer,
I admire simple and practical solutions to technical problems. The
American Sportscopter Ultrasport is a marvel of high-tech engineering in
a simple ultralight helicopter with only 50% of the parts of any other
design. I admire the monolithic drive train with the beautiful miniature
gearbox and titanium mast, the no slop controls, the high tech all composite
blades, the super simple tail rotor design, the light all carbon-fiber
frame/cockpit, and everything else.
It handles well even in high winds and has power to spare even with high density altitude.
